787eats is Austin, through and through—from polar bear plunge in Barton Springs, to summer classic movies at the historic Paramount, to checking out new bands at Cheer Up Charlie’s—I love my hometown and feel lucky to live in a place with such amazing food choices, great craft beer ventures, endless watering holes, thriving art & music scene, and some of the most open, kind people on earth! In keeping with that fun-loving Austin spirit, 787eats believes eating should bring enjoyment and nourishment—never guilt or shame. Food can be healthy and beneficial to our bodies and still be delicious and beautifully presented.
If I must have a “food philosophy” it would be—use the best ingredients, vary your diet as much as possible, cook ingredients with skill and respect, and present simply.
I have been cooking professionally for 20+ years in Austin, in every aspect of the culinary business–from owning my own restaurant to serving as executive chef for private schools. A member of the American Culinary Federation since 2011. I’ll use any excuse to spend all day in the kitchen, elbow-deep in ingredients!
